Who we are
DITIB stands for the Turkish-Islamic Union of the Institution for Religion. The umbrella association brings together more than 800 local communities across Germany. Its purpose is to provide Muslims with places to practise their faith and to contribute to integration.
As a non-profit organisation, DITIB maintains open and cooperative dialogue with institutions and religious communities.
What we do
DITIB communities are places of worship and also offer educational, sporting and cultural activities. The association supports youth, senior and integration work, including language and literacy courses and integration courses in cooperation with the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
Our principles
- Our objectives are consistent with the German Basic Law and the free democratic basic order.
- DITIB is non-partisan; party-political activities in association premises are excluded.
- Friendship, respect, tolerance and solidarity shape our relations with one another and with people of other faiths.
- Every form of violence and calls for violence are rejected.
- Equal treatment of members and transparency towards members and the public are valued.
- DITIB pursues charitable religious, cultural and social purposes through voluntary work.
Our services are open to everyone.
